Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano says, he will be the one who will represent the Chief Executive and deliver a message.

The activities will begin at 3 pm.

Cayetano explains, the President is clearly not in a celebratory mood following the death of 58 soldiers and 21 civilians in Marawi City.

He also said Duterte has not had enough sleep on Sunday night.

The activities at the grandstand will begin at 3 pm.

National Historical Commission of the Philippines Chairman Rene Escalante previously said, they sent an invitation to the President but Malacañang did not confirm his attendance.

The President had a full schedule on Sunday night, as he went to the Villamor Air Base for the arrival of the bodies of soldiers who died in the battle between government forces and the Maute group.

He also proceeded to the Philippine Marines Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio to attend the wake for the Marines who also died fighting Marawi City.

Then, Duterte visited the Libingan ng Mga Bayani in Taguig City.
