President Rodrigo Duterte will lead the ceremony for the 119th anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day on Monday, June 12, 2017.
The activities for this occasion were reported by National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chairman Rene Escalante in a press briefing.

Duterte will attend the flag-raising ceremony at the Rizal Monument at 8 am.
This will be followed by traditional reception called Vin d’honneur in Malacañang.
Cultural activities will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on Monday afternoon.
Vice President Leni Robredo has no special assignment on Independence Day but she has been invited to join the activities in Luneta.
