DAVAO CITY—The Municipal Government of Nanning in China is bringing a 44-person delegation comprised of cultural performers, medical practitioners, and business persons as part of its continuing cooperation with Davao, its sister city for the last decade.

This is among the commitments made by Nanning City when a delegation led by Nanning Mayor Zhou Hongbo visited Davao City in April this year, the local government said.

The event, called “Nanning Day in Davao City,” celebrates the 10-year friendship between Davao and the southern Chinese city. This will highlight and promote bilateral exchange in the fields of trade and commerce, health, and culture.

Chinese cultural performances will be held at the Abreeza Mall of Davao on June 9 to be presented by the Nanning Art and Theatre Co., Ltd., a state-owned cultural company rated as a Class A art troupe by the national authority of China.

An exclusive art exhibition titled “Beautiful Nanning” will also be presented, featuring photography works themed on sites, landmarks, natural scenery and culture of the beautiful city of Nanning.
