The Makati City government will hold a job fair on Wednesday at the Glorietta Shopping Center where job-seekers can be hired on the spot by 61 participating local and multinational companies.
The event, which is part of Makati’s 347th Foundation Day celebration, will be hosted by the city’s Public Employment Service Office from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Glorietta 3 Activity Center located at East Drive Ayala Center.
The job fair, themed “Handog ng PESO: Trabaho para sa Maunlad na Kabuhayan, Tungo sa Progresibong Kinabukasan,” has been organized in partnership with Ayala Land Inc. and the Department of Labor and Employment.
Makati PESO manager and city personnel officer Vissia Marie Aldon said the participating firms are set to make direct, on-the-spot hiring at the job fair. She advised applicants to bring many copies of their resumes with their 2×2 ID pictures.
Among the companies that will be participating in the mega job fair are Eastwest Placement Center (overseas company), Ablebodies Manpower Services, Absolute Employment Management Solutions, Andok’s Litson, Asiapro Cooperative, Bench, Burlington Industries, Citiworks Manpower Resources, CMG Retail Inc., Dames International, and Domino’s Pizza Phil;
Dunkin’ Donuts, Fieldmen Janitorial Services Corp., Finex Marketing Services, Goldilocks, Go Sport, Humanlink Management, Jada Infinite Workforce Services, Lay Bare Waxing Phils. Inc, Marks & Spencer, and Max’s Group of Companies;

Pre-employment government agencies like Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-Ibig, Social Security System, PhilHealth, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration will be present during the job fair to assist applicants.
Job seekers can choose from the job vacancies as follows: Human Resources Staff, Information Technology Staff, Audit Staff, Sales Coordinator, Sales Assistant, Warehouse Staff, Office Staff, Accounting Staff, Customer Service Facilitator, Sales and Marketing Assistant, Inventory Staff and Outright Merchandiser;
Cashier, Service Crew, Kitchen Helper, Counter Staff, Waiter, Cook, Janitor/Janitress, Housekeeping, Messenger, Forklift Operator, Driver (License with RC 123), Finishing Carpenter, Mason, Painter, Technician, Warehouseman, Delivery Helper, Production Staff, and others.
In November, the city government held a mega job fair Makati City Hall Quadrangle participated by more than 32 companies.
