Philippine Airlines is looking at a code share agreement with American carriers to expand its footprint in the US.

“We’re working with a possible codeshare with some American carriers,” said PAL president and chief operating officer Jaime Bautista.

The codeshare alliances with other airlines aim to broaden PAL’s network and establish a presence in cities where it does not fly.

PAL flies 17 times weekly non-stop flights to Los Angeles; 10 times weekly non- stop services to San Francisco; and 10 times a week to Vancouver, four of which fly onward to Toronto and back, and four fly en route to New York and back.

PAL also operates a regular five weekly direct service to Honolulu, and daily to Guam.
