Agenda for QC in next 3 years set

THE 36-member Quezon City Council has passed a resolution adopting the city government’s executive and legislative agenda for 2016 up to 2019.

Councilors Franz Pumaren of District 3 and Godofredo Liban II and Roderick Paulate of District 2 authored City Resolution 6952, directing all department heads to adapt an “updated, relevant and responsive” executive agenda that would be implemented for the next three years, which has been crafted by Mayor Herbert Bautista.

The city council already came up with a legislative agenda to support the programs and projects of the executive department.

Consequently, a series of seminar-workshops discussing the formulation and crafting of the 2016-2019 executive-legislative agenda and capacity development agenda has been held with department heads and councilors as participants.

The city’s executive-legislative agenda for 2016 to 2019 is consolidated by the executive-legislative agenda performance.

Bautista said this agenda is bound to improve the economic, infrastructure, environmental and social sectors of Quezon City society.

Meanwhile, the Quezon City government awarded P100,000 each to 13 living centenarians who celebrated their 100th birthday this year.

The handing out of incentives is authorized under City Ordinance 2542-2016, authored by Councilor Roger Juan and approved by Mayor Bautista.

Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte led the giving of the grant to 10 centenarians on Monday at city hall.
