President Rodrigo Duterte has arrived in Russia.
The plane carrying the Philippine leader landed in Moscow at 11:18 pm Russia time and at past 4:00 am PH time.
On day one of the President’s official trip, there are no scheduled meetings.
On day two, Duterte will meet with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Duterte will also offer flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers in Alexander Garden in Moscow.
He is also set to accept an honorary degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
He will deliver a speech in which he is expected to talk about his campaign against illegal drugs and his administration’s economic agenca called “Duterte-nomics.”
About 5,000 Filipinos reside in Russia.
