Passengers of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) were forced to alight from the train after it encountered a technical problem before noon on Friday.
The glitch took place along Gil Puyat Station in Pasay City at past 10 am.

For about thirty minutes, the operations of the LRT-1 from Pasay to Manila was affected.
A commuter said the train suddenly stopped moving.
Stranded passengers were made to wait for half an hour at the platform before another train arrived to fetch them.
Operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said technicians were sent to Gil Puyat station to fix the problem.
Operations returned to normal at noontime.
