Department of Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Maria Cleofe Natividad held a press briefing in Malacañang on Friday on President Rodrigo Duterte’s trip to Russia.
The Chief Executive is set to visit Russia next week from May 22 to 26.

He will hold bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Natividad said the heads of states will tackle topics mainly on defense cooperation, military and security issues.
She also said, the trip is part of President Duterte’s pursuit of an independent foreign policy.
Duterte will also meet the Filipinos in Moscow.
About 5,000 Filipinos live in Russia.
