Rains pouring in parts of Metro Manila and other portions of the country signal the onset of the rainy season.
This is according to PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio.

Aurelio sees the possibility that the end of summer may be declared soon.
He, however, cautions, weather will still be generally hot and humid for now.
He attributes the downpours in Mindanao to the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
Continuous rains have caused floodings in General Santos City, Sarangani and South Cotabato.
