Gundam fans and collectors of all ages recently trooped to the SM Mall of Asia Atrium for the very first Gundam Plamodel Exposition or Gunpla Expo. A joint project of Toy Kingdom together with BanDai and Ban Kee trading, this was considered the biggest Gundam event of the year.
The centerpiece of the expo was the three-meter tall RX-78-2 statue that fascinated the crowd, as well as the Filipino version of the Beargguy diorama and the different Master Grade Gundam masterpieces. They were also very excited to view and bring home the limited edition and the wide selection of model kits.
Gundam or the Gundam Series is a sci-fi media franchise that features advanced and high performance robots called mobile suits. They are mostly equipped with the latest experimental technology at the time of their construction. The first ever Gundam was the RX-78-2 from the Mobile Suit Gundam. Gunpla means the hobby of assembling Gundam kits.
Gundam model kits are available at Toy Kingdom Express outlets in the SM Stores and Toy Kingdom Stores in most SM Supermalls. Be updated by visiting www.toykingdom.ph; and @ToyKingdomPH on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
