Makati Mayor Abby Binay (top photo, center) signs a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Makati and Shanghai Nanjiang Group for a feasibility study, at no cost to Makati, on land development and construction of low-cost, mass housing units in the city. The agreement is expected to lead to a public-private partnership or PPP that will help address the shelter needs of informal settler families in the city.
