“Honorable Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada has declared 12 April 2017, Holy Wednesday, as a non-working day in the City Government of Manila,” City Administrator Ericson Alcovendaz said in a memorandum.
With the declaration, the City of Manila will have a longer vacation as April 13 (Maundy Thursday) and April 14 (Good Friday) are already declared national regular holidays.
Last year, Estrada also declared Holy Wednesday as a non-working holiday for city employees.
