The Philippine National Police (PNP) is set to deploy about 70,000 cops to put in place security arrangements in view of the Holy Week next week.
PNP Directorate for Community Relations says, most of the policemen will be deployed in ports and terminals, malls and other public places.

Public assistance desks in crowded areas will also be set up.
The PNP has special reminders for law enforcers:
It tells them to avoid gossiping and fight the temptation of too much use of cellular phones for personal communications while on duty.
