NHA to get profiles of persons who occupied Bulacan housing units

The National Housing Authority (NHA) will conduct a profiling of the members of the group KADAMAY who occupied the agency’s housing units in Pandi, Bulacan.

NHA Spokesperson Elsie Trinidad says, this is to determine who among them are eligible for government housing projects in other areas.

“Magkakaroon talaga ng profiling para sa mga Kadamay na nag-okupa para malaman kung sino ang qualified (profiling will be held for Kadamay members who occupied so we will know who are qualified),” Trinidad notes.

She, however, notes, persons who occupied the NHA housing units will have to eventually leave.

They were supposed to be evicted last Tuesday (March 28) from the site but this order was suspended after Kadamay members trooped to the NHA office for a dialogue.

Trinidad further explains, the housing project in Bulacan are meant to be used by families of soldiers.

“Hindi kara-karakang pwedeng basta na lang ipamigay kasi yung pondong ginamit sa AFP ay eksklusibo sa AFP-PNP (the housing units cannot just be given away since the funds used came from the AFP for use of the AFP and PNP),” she said.

She adds, “hindi ibig sabihin na kapag walang nakatira, walang naka-okupa ay walang awardee (just because no one lives in the units, no one occupies them, it does not mean there are no awardees).”
