Five persons were killed while nine others were injured in a road accident that took place in Zamboanga Sibugay on Thursday.
The mishap involves a 6-wheeler truck that was travelling along Barangay Katipunan.

Brake failure is initially being cited as the cause of the tragedy.
The truck driver was among those who died.
Authorities identify him as Carlo Cortez.
His body has been brought to a funeral parlor.
