Lorna T back as Kapamilya

After five years, Lorna Tolentino is proud to be back on ABS-CBN grounds via the upcoming prime time series Victims of Love where she shares the screen with Angelica Panganiban, Julia Montes, Paulo Avelino, and JC Santos.

“That’s right!” she says. “I’m back as a Kapamilya and I’m excited with this project since my role is not the usual viewers see me doing.”

LT reveals it’s a contravida part.

“Yes, I’m not kind here! The character is not white or pure. She’s gray that’s almost black already. That’s how I can describe my role in the soap.”

For this, the award-winning actress feels very challenged.

“I really find it hard breathing life to bad characters on screen. It’s easy to be kind since basically there is kindness in every person’s heart. But when you’re a villainess, you have to tap what’s evil in you, which makes it difficult.”

For two years, she hasn’t done any soap opera. What made her accept Victims of Love?

“Well, for one, the story is beautiful and interesting. Then, there’s the role, which offers a new level of thrill. My co-stars were also huge consideration. How can I refuse to a project surrounded by ‘giving’ actors? You won’t find it hard doing scenes with them because they are all highly-competent!”

On the lighter side, many ask if she’s still entertaining the thought of falling in love again since it’s been a long time that her husband Rudy Fernandez passed away.

“Honestly, no,” Lorna admits. “I think I’m too old for that already. At this point, I’m okay with my present status. There are various factors to consider like age (LT is 55), my sons, then hormonal imbalance, which is a normal phase a woman undergoes in her life. I don’t like to drag another person onto the scene where he will just get irked by it.”

So does that mean she discourages any suitor right now?

“Ha-ha-ha! As I’ve said, I’m fine being alone right now. But I’m okay with making friends with everybody,” ends LT.

Despite the sad development that she won’t be able to do the latest Darna movie due to her health condition, Angel Locsin admits her heart is happy at present.

“Yes! My personal state is doing well. I started going out on dates already. So, it’s the beginning of my moving on stage, so to speak,” she states.

However, the pretty actress doesn’t want to go on details about this latest exciting phase in her life.

“Anyway, it has just started so it’s too early to elaborate on it. One more thing, he’s non-showbiz so let’s respect his privacy.”

Angel stresses that the guy she’s seeing right now is the only one.

“When I go out on dates, it’s exclusive. I can’t do multiple dating. Personally, I don’t like that. I want to focus on a person, get to know him better. If things won’t work, then, that’s the time to see someone new.”

There are reports that she’s dating Nino Barber, son of former Senator Robert Barbers.

“For the record, there’s no inch of truth in that! We never went out on a date. Nino is a good friend. In fact, I felt shy because he was baselessly dragged into the scene. To reiterate, there’s nothing special going on between us so I hope the issue will subside now,” Angel avers.
