Philippine National Police (PNP) Director Ronald Dela Rosa says, road rage suspect David Lim Jr. is being treated like an ordinary crime suspect.
He maintains, Lim is not being given any special treatment.
Dela Rosa is replying to the comment of Cebu Mayor Tomas Osmeña, who had alleged that the police hesitated in arresting Lim.
Lim surrendered to PNP Regional Office in Cebu at 2 am on Tuesday.
He was tagged as the one who shot nurse Ephaim Nuñal four times after a traffic argument along F. Sotto Street, Barangay Kamputhaw in Cebu City on Sunday.
Reports say, President Rodrigo Duterte’s top aide Bong Go helped in the negotiations between Lim’s family and the police so that the suspect would turn himself in.
He was accompanied by his mother, two relatives and a counsel when he went to the police regional office.
The suspect is a nephew of Peter Lim, whom Duterte described as a drug trafficker in July last year.
