The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested the fifth suspect in the foiled bombing in an area near the United States Embassy in Manila in November last year.
Quezon City Police Director Guillermo Eleazar identified the blast suspect as Nasip Ibrahim, a member of the Maute terror group based in Lanao Del Sur.
Ibrahim was nabbed in Talam Compound, Culiat, Quezon City on Monday night.
On Tuesday morning, he was presented by PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa to the media in a briefing at the PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame.
Ibrahim had reportedly planned the attack in Manila.
He had also allegedly arranged the accommodation for other Maute members as they were planning to stage their terror mission.
Ibrahim is said to be a nephew of a sub-leader of the Maute group.
