The National Housing Authority (NHA) is expected to serve today the eviction notice for members of militant group Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (KADAMAY) who occupied about 5,280 houses in resettlement areas in Pandi, Bulacan.
As of noon time, however, no NHA representatives has appeared in the housing site, especially at Pandi Village 2.
At this time, police are not certain if the serving of eviction notice will push through.
They have not received any request for assistance.
Those who occupied the housing units have set up barricades to prevent authorities from evicting them.
Urban poor groups also staged a rally in front of the NHA on Monday morning.
They demanded that the agency implement a “zero-eviction” action against the persons who took control of the NHA housing project.
