The House of Representatives has passed on third and final reading the death penalty bill for drug cases.
216 lawmakers voted in favor of the measure, 54 voted no while one abstained.

Nominal voting was conducted in the chamber on Tuesday afternoon.
The bill, House Bill 4727, will now be transmitted to the Senate.
As of this time, House members are being given the opportunity to explain their votes.
Each lawmaker has 8 minutes to expound his or her view on the measure.
