President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) to gather the names of personalities in their areas who are involved in illegal drugs.
This move is seen as part of the preparation for the resumption of PNP’s campaign against drugs, dubbed as “Oplan Tokhang 2.”

The Chief Executive stressed the importance of protecting civilians from the drug menace.
PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa earlier said, a new anti-illegal drugs unit is being created.
“Maghintay lang sila. Mabubulaga din sila. Hintay lang (They just wait. They will be stunned. Just wait),” he had warned.
