Senator Leila De Lima has been temporarily brought to the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) from Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC).
This is the procedure whenever a VIP is about to be detained at the PNP Custodial Center.
De Lima may currently be staying at the CIDG Conference Room or at the office of PNP CIDG Director Roel Obusan.
Mediamen have been prevented by the base police inside the camp from following De Lima inside the CIDG building.
Doctors from the PNP Crime Laboratory are expected to check the vital signs of the senator before she is jailed at the PNP custodial center.
PNP Spokesperson Dionardo Carlos says, the lawmaker’s detention facility is clean and decent.
Prior to her trip to Muntinlupa RTC, she went through booking procedures in Camp Crame.
