Senator Leila De Lima’s long convoy of vehicles is now proceeding to the Philippine National Police Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

This comes, after Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Juanita Guerrero ordered the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to detain her at the PNP Custodial Center.

The vehicles, led by the PNP Highway Patrol Group (HPG), are moving fast along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

Accompanying the senator in the PNP coaster are her lawyer, Attorney Alex Padilla, and Dinagat Islands Representative Arlene “Kaka” Bag-ao.

As the convoy was leaving the Hall of Justice, the senator flashed a “Laban” sign toward her supporters in front of Muntinlupa Hall of Justice.

Earlier in court, De Lima alighted from the vehicle and went inside the office of Judge Juanita Guerrero for about two minutes.

It was Guerrero who issued the arrest warrant for De Lima on Thursday afternoon over drug charges.

After this brief move, De Lima immediately returned to the coaster.

She was earlier asking if Muntinlupa Branch 204 was requiring her personal appearance, as the PNP-CIDG was effecting the return of the arrest warrant for De Lima.

Senate Sergeant-at-arms (OSAA) head General Jose Balajadia is with the convoy, along with the security personnel from his office, who are guarding De Lima.

Senator Kiko Pangilinan had said, OSAA will provide security for De Lima 24/7 at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame.
