Universal Robina Corp., the largest snack food maker, said net income attributable to equity holders of the parent increased 22 percent to P15.14 billion in year ending September 2016 from P12.38 billion a year ago, despite the decline in sales from international operations.
URC said in a financial report filed with the Philippine Stock Exchange consolidated revenues inched up 2.4 percent to P111.63 billion.
Sales from URC’s branded consumer foods segment, which accounts for the bulk of total revenues, rose slightly to P91.37 billion from P90.73 billion in 2015.
Net sales from BCFG domestic operations rose 4 percent to P59.92 billion from P57.6 billion in 2015, mainly driven by ready-to-drink beverages, chocolates and noodles with double-digit growths.
