The procession of the Black Nazarene from the Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church in Manila took more than twenty-two hours.
This is one hour longer than the ‘traslacion’ last year.
The carriage left Quirino Grandstand at 5:30 am Monday and reached Basilica Minore in Quiapo at about 3:30 am Tuesday.
The distance covered by the procession, where about a million devotees joined, was over 3 kilometers.
Malacañang is sending its congratulatory message to the organizers.
Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar says, no untoward incident happened.
He adds, no petty crimes were also reported.
Cellular phone signals were shut down in areas that are within one-kilometer radius of the procession.
