Negros gov rapped for 11 graft cases

THE Ombudsman on Friday indicted Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo for 11 counts of graft raps for the supposed illegal disbursement of P480.7 million in calamity funds to pay for the province’s infrastructure projects in 2012.

Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales also ordered the filing of charges against treasurer Danilo Mendez, accountant Teodorico Reyes and engineer Franco Alpuerto.

Morales also ordered the filing of graft charges against Alejandro Lim Jr. of Lim General Contractor Corp., Mark Anthony Clemente of CTC Builders and Supplies Inc., Danny Chan of AJAN Jeada Inc., Wilfredo Chu of Bigfoot Construction and Supply, Farouk Macarambon of Fiat Construction Services, Maribel Ranola of Legazpi Premium Development Corp. and Ricardo Abriol Santos of Richmark Construction and Supply.
