Bacoor says sorry for traffic, river dredging work

BACOOR, Cavite—The Bacoor City government apologized to business owners and motorists passing through the Tirona Highway Bridge in Barangay Habay near SM City Bacoor for its ongoing dredging and clearing of the Bacoor River.

In a statement, the city government said the dredging and repairs to the bridge were necessary to prevent heavier traffic along the highway, as rains or stormy weather could flood the river and obstruct traffic further.

The city’s Business Permit and Licensing Office also reminded Bacoor’s business owners to register, obtain a permit and pay taxes for their ventures no later than Friday, Jan. 20, to avoid fines and possible penalties.
