Angat Dam in Norzagaray, Bulacan is currently releasing water though its spillway gate.
National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR) Manager for Flood Forecasting and Warning Division System Alex Palada says, this is because water level in the dam has reached 213.9 meters.

Palada attributes the rise in the dam’s water supply to northeast monsoon rains in the past few days.
Angat Dam’s normal water level is 212 meters.
Palada adds, the move is in preparation for rains that storms bring.
NAPOCOR cites weather bureau PAGASA’s advisory that at least one more weather disturbance may hit the country before the year ends.
Palada guarantees the release of dam water will not cause flooding.
