COMMUTERS can now avail the free shuttle service of Pasig River Ferry System from and to stations of Escolta in Manila and Guadalupe in Makati City, Acting Chairman Thomas Orbos of the Metro Manila Development Authority said on Friday.
Orbos, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and other officials of the Inter-agency Council on Traffic (I-ACT) led the inauguration of the free shuttle service provided by private firm Megaworld Corp.
As part of its public service offering, Megaworld Corp. will provide free bus shuttle service to passengers going to Guadalupe Station from Uptown complex in Bonifacio Global City, and to commercial establishments in Binondo going to Escolta Station beginning Friday (Dec. 9) until the first week of January of 2017.
The shuttle fleet, consisting of eight 30-seater coasters, will bring passengers from Uptown to Guadalupe Station and vice-versa while three 15-seater vans in Escolta Station in Manila will pick them up and bring them to Lucky Chinatown Mall and Divisoria area.
According to Megaworld Corp., the shuttle service schedule will correspond to the schedule of the ferry service.
