Espinosa tags police generals as his drug protectors

Suspected drug lord Kerwin Espinosa has named a ‘General Dolina’ as among the police officials to whom he would give protection money as part of what he described as Standard Operating Procedure or SOP.

He said Dolina was a former PNP Region 8 Director.

He said he began to provide money to the general in 2015.

He said, he deposited 3 checks amounting to a total of P 6 million to Dolina.

Espinosa also identified General Vicente Loot as among the police officials who received monthly protection money from him.

He said a certain Police Inspector Leo Laraga was the one who would call him and point him to the police personalities to whom he should give protection money.

He supposedly gave Loot and Laraga P 120,000 in protection money monthly.

Espinosa made these statements at the Senate Committee on Public Order chaired by Senator Panfilo Lacson.

The committee is investigating the killing of Espinosa’s father, Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa while in detention in Baybay City Sub-Provincial Jail last November 5, 2016.

Espinosa also named Jeffrey ‘Jaguar’ Diaz and Lovely Impal as his source of methamphetamine hydrochloride or ‘shabu.’

He said he would get 8 to 10 kilos of ‘shabu’ per transaction and he would sell these illegal drugs for a period of 40 days.

Per kilo of shabu, Espinosa would earn P 500,000 to P 600,000.

This means that he would have an income of P 5 million per transaction of 10 kilos of shabu.

Espinosa also enumerated the names of other police officials to whom he allegedly gave protection money since 2012.

Some of the names he mentioned were Abordo, Santi Matera, Senior Inspector Javines, Camacho, SPO3 Bituin, Captain Angay-Angay, Sir Macanas and Aracol.

He would supposedly give them P 8,000 to P 15,000 per month, depending on the role they played in his drug transactions.
