Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre says, the Writ of Habeas Data filed by Senator Leila De Lima at the Supreme Court against President Rodrigo Duterte will not prosper.
Aguirre says, the President’s immunity from suit is absolute.

The justice chief is referring to the petition filed by De Lima seeking to stop the alleged personal insults the President is hurling at her.
Aguirre says, the senator won’t be able to stop further investigations on her alleged link to the illegal drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) since the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has already filed graft and criminal complaints against her.
