Workers, scholars get cash

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite—The provincial government headed by Cavite Gov. Boying Remulla recently distributed cash incentives to the province’s health workers and nutrition scholars.

The cash incentives for the 1st and 2nd quarter of 2016 amounted to P6,000 each for Barangay Health Workers and P3,000 each for Barangay Nutrition Scholars.

Some 1,000 BHWs and BNS beneficiaries from the towns of Alfonso, Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Ternate, Silang (Bulihan), Mendez and Tagaytay City received their incentives during the distribution at Mendez Municipal Covered Court last Oct. 26.

On Oct. 27, 888 BHWs and 134 BNS from the cities of Dasmariñas, Imus, Bacoor, Cavite and the towns of Rosario, Kawit, Noveleta, Carmona and GMA received incentives during the distribution at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Gymnasium in Dasmariñas City.

The events are held in recognition of the significant roles of the barangay health workers and nutrition scholars as front liners in health programs implementation on barangays levels.

Remulla assured the BHWs and BNWs  the province will make way for the provision of smart phones and improved health benefits for them under PhilHealth.

The ceremony last Oct.  26 was supported and witnessed by seventh district Board Members Reiniel Ambion and Reinalyn Varias, Mayor Eric Vida, Vice Mayor Cocoy Mendoza, Sangguniang Bayan Members of Mendez and other local government employees.

Meanwhile, next day’s event guests and supporters included 4th District Board Members Rudy Lara and Valeriano Encabo, Mayor Elpidio Barzaga, Vice-Mayor Rex Mangubat and former governor Jonvic Remulla Mayor Eric Vida, Vice Mayor Cocoy Mendoza, Sangguniang Bayan Members of Mendez and other local government employees.
