Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Thomas Orbos announces, longer ‘coding hours’ will take effect beginning Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
This means, from the original 7 am to 7 pm, another hour will be added to the ‘coding hours’ so that the new schedule will start from 7 am to 8 pm.
At the same time, the ‘no window hours’ policy has also been expanded to cover more major thoroughfares in Metro Manila.
The expanded list of roads covered by ‘no window hours’ now includes C.M. Recto Avenue, President Quirino Avenue, Araneta Avenue, EDSA, C.P. Garcia Avenue, Bulacan-Rizal-Manila-Cavite Regional Expressway, Roxas Boulevard, Taft Avenue, Del Pan Road, Marcos Highway and MacArthur Highway.
The two new rules under the number coding scheme are meant to ease the perennial traffic congestion in the National Capital Region.
