MRT & LRT Line 1 operations hit by glitches for the nth time

Technical glitches marred the train operations of the MRT and LRT Line 1 on Saturday morning.

For three hours from 5 am to 8 am, the operations of LRT Line 1 from Roosevelt to Balintawak stations stopped.

Problems in the train’s monitoring and signalling systems were cited as the cause.

The rides were limited from Baclaran to Monumento stations and vice versa.

Meanwhile, a southbound MRT train was reported to have suddenly stopped between Cubao and Santolan stations.

Stranded passengers are waiting for rescue and assistance from the personnel of the MRT as of this time.
