Former Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Benjamin Defensor says, they are now in the process of informing their siblings and relatives abroad about the passing of his sister, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.
They have yet to make arrangements on her interment but he notes, his sister would want to be buried beside the remains of her son Alexander.
The late Senator’s youngest son, Alexander, died on November 20, 2003.
Gen. Defensor says, the wake will be held somewhere in Quezon City.
He says, they want the Senator’s friends and supporters to be able to pay their last respects, especially the youth and volunteers as well as the members of her People’s Reform Party (PRP) as she was very close with them.
Gen. Defensor adds, they will make further announcements on his sister’s wake and funeral schedule.
