Bulakenya leads veterinary examinees

MALOLOS CITY—Princess Charmaine Tiglao Herrera, a 22-year-old student from San Miguel, Bulacan topped the Veterinarian Licensure Exams given on August 23 by the Professional Regulation Commission with a passing grade of 85.42.

Herrera, a magna cum laude graduate of veterinary medicine (2014 to 2016) from Central Luzon State University (CLSU), is the daughter of teachers Antonio and Florencia Herrera from Barangay Magmarale, San Miguel.

Herrera started her schooling at the San Miguel North Central School in Brgy. Camias from 2000 to 2006. She attended San Miguel National High School in Brgy. San Juan from 2006 to 2010. Then she took up Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry in CLSU in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija and finished (cum laude) from 2010 to 2014.

Five other graduates from CSLU landed in the top 10 of the board exams. Karlo Miano Tawatao (85.04) and Cristo Rey Carpizo Batoy (84.40) ranked second and third, while Ramon  Enriquez Leuterio (84.28) and Ralph Kevin Manalastas Espinosa (83.34) and Jeffrey Lopez Cruz (83.16) copped fifth, seventh and ninth place, respectively.

Completing the Top 10 examinees are Agustina Bilet Puclo (84.34), Benguet State University, La Trinidad, fourth; Delfin Escuadra Cabardo, Jr. (83.78), Visayas State University, sixth; Csarina Kristine Dema-Ala Nobleza (83.20) UP, Los Baños, eighth; and Cyril Armenteros Noya, Visayas State University and Carl Ace Rojas Parilla, Central Mindanao University, (82.96), tied at 10th.

Only 327 out of 762 passed the board exams given by the PRC’s Board of Veterinary Medicine last August 23 in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cagayan de Oro.
