President Rodrigo Duterte has cancelled his working visit to Brunei Darussalam on Sunday.
Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar made the announcement, following the explosion in Davao City's Friday night market that killed 14 persons.
The President was supposed to hold a bilateral meeting with Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Meanwhile, the United States is sending its condolences to the families of the 14 persons who died in the attack in Davao.
U.S. National Security Council Spokesperson Ned Price says, the U.S. is also expressing its sympathies for the wounded victims.
Price notes, the United States is ready to help law enforcers in the Philippines in the investigation of the explosion.
U.S. President Barack Obama will personally extend his condolences to President Duterte, when the two leaders meet at the ASEAN Summit in Laos on Tuesday next week.
