The Abu Sayyaf (ASG) has lost 12 members in the clash with the military in Patikul, Sulu.
ASG Spokesperson Abu Rami made this confirmation.

He also refuted the military’s claim that an ASG leader was killed in the encounter.
Fighting began early Friday and lasted for about 4 hours.
Task Force Sulu Commander Brig. Gen. Arnel dela Vega said, 17 soldiers were injured in the combat.
The wounded troopers are confined at Camp Navarro General Hospital in Zamboanga City.
