THE Sandiganbayan Sixth Division has allowed former Philippine National Police chief Alan Purisima to visit his son in the United States from September 5 to 27.
Based on the anti-graft court ruling, Purisima is free to leave the country during those dates after submitting itinerary to his trip and posted P30,000 travel bond last August 12.
Purisima, who earlier entered a not guilty plea, said his departure to the US with his family was scheduled even before the case was filed against him last March.
Earlier, the court set the trial proper tentative dates on November 28 and 29, December 6 and of this year and January 9, 10 and 11 of 2017 as the prosecution needs 10 hearing days to finalize the presentation of their evidence and witnesses against the accused.
