A Korean woman wanted in her own country for various charges was nabbed by immigration operatives as part of the bureau’s continued drive against foreign fugitives hiding in the country.
Nabbed was Eom Jae Hwa, who is wanted for swindling, according to Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente. She is set to be deported to her home country.
Morente said Eom was arrested on the strength of a deportation warrant that was issued against her by the BI Board of Commissioners on Dec. 2 last year.
