THE Bureau of Immigration has arrested a high-profile Korean fugitive who has been wanted in his country for fraud.
Hajin Hyun, 32, was arrested Thursday in Mandaluyong city after the Korean Embassy sought his immediate arrest for defrauding a number of companies and friends in Korea amounting to several millions of dollars.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente has ordered the cancellation of Hyun’s visa and ordered his summary deportation for being an undocumented and undesirable foreign national. His name was included in the bureau’s Black List Order and banned from returning to the Philippines.
