The Ramos Peace and Development Foundation (RPDEV) and the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corp. are set to launch “For A Better Philippines–World,” Volume 11 of a series of compilations of selected “sermons” from FVR’s column “On Empowering The Filipino People” in the Manila Bulletin every Sunday. The book launch will be held today (Tuesday) 3:30 p.m. at the AFP Museum, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
As with earlier volumes in this series, Volume 11 will be launched in time for the next State of the Nation Address, the first one by President Rodrigo R. Duterte, scheduled on July 25, 2016 at a Joint Session of Congress at the Batasang Pambansa.
“For A Better Philippines-World” is FVR’s battlecry reflecting our aspirations for a better future for our country, and for the global community of nations. He makes sure that we are aware that achieving an improved quality of life is the responsibility of each and everyone of us—starting from our elected leaders to the man/woman-on-the-street.
The book is part of RPDEV’s continuing education advocacy and publications program in line with its four main program areas, namely: enduring peace in the Asia-Pacific region, sustainable development, socio-economic diplomacy, and democratic governance.
Government officials, sectoral representatives, educators, journalists, veterans, and other concerned Filipinos are cordially invited to join us at this book launch today at Camp Aguinaldo.
