The Lufthansa Group said Thursday it will hire 440 employees over the next 24 months as it expands operations in the Philippines.
Two business units of Lufthansa – Lufthansa InTouch and Lufthansa Global Business Services teamed up to establish a company called Lufthansa Services Philippines, which will start operations in June this year.
“The service delivery center in Manila will play a key role in preparing ourselves for future growth,” said Lufthansa Global Business senior vice president Astrid Hartmann.
“We will be able to provide outstanding service and optimize our delivery costs; as a result we expect to expand our business portfolio and attract new customers,” he said.
Lufthansa said over a period of 24 months, the 4,000-square-meter service center in Alabang would grow to 440 positions for highly qualified employees.
