MNTC sees increased traffic

The operator of North Luzon Expressway and Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway expects traffic to increase by 10 percent to 15 percent during the All Saints Day. 

Manila North Tollways Corp. said NLEX had a daily average vehicle entries ofover 190,000 in NLEx and 35,000 in SCTEx. 

MNTC added the traffic was expected to build up in the afternoon of October 30 until the late morning of November 1 going north.  

For vehicles traveling back to Manila, heavy traffic is expected to start in the early evening till midnight of October 31. 

The next wave of increased traffic volume southbound is expected in the afternoon of November 1 (Sunday) until the morning of November 2.

NLEx will open spare lanes and additional layers of manual toll collection during peak hours at the Mindanao, Dau and Bocaue toll plazas. For SCTEX, an advance toll collection will be conducted at Mabalacat on October 30 and 31.
