The all-stars were chosen from 50 boys and 24 girls, who were selected after a nationwide search involving children from all over the country.

The finalists of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Presented by Alaska were selected from Regional Selection Camps, for children 10 to 14 years old, in Puerto Princesa, Biñan, Iloilo, Baguio, Bacolod, Davao and Manila. They also include the best basketball players from the Alaska Basketball Power Camp headed by Philippine Basketball Association legend Jeff Cariaso.

Alaska provides proper nutrition through its Alaska Chocolate Powdered Milk Drink, which contains essential nutrients that help children reach their full growth potential.

Meanwhile, Carlo Escalambre scored six of his team’s final 11 points as the Red Stars beat the Blue Stars, 95-88, in the Jr. NBA Presented by Alaska All-Star Alumni Game held earlier in the day.

In the process Escalambre, who is an incoming rookie of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, was also honored as the Best Player of the Game.
