A labor group said that there is no need to deport Chinese workers as long as they abide by the country’s immigration rules and regulations.
Partido Lakas ng Masa president Leody de Guzman said that the presence of Chinese workers in the country only give credence to the belief that not all is well in China which is reputed to be an emerging superpower as there are impoverished workers who are forced to work in other countries.
“There is no problem if Chinese workers want to work here as long as they have the required working documents. We should avoid discrimination in the workplaces,” he said.
De Guzman said that Filipinos should unite with other workers against abusive capitalists.
In the spirit of international workers’ solidarity, the PLM said it welcomes the entry of the Chinese workers as long as they have legal work permits and do not get in anti-social activities such as illegal gambling operations, drug trafficking and child prostitution, among other heinous crimes.
