Priceless Pieces, Timeless Trinkets

Local jewelry brand Theia Gems aims to make diamonds a part of every woman’s journey

Once reserved for life’s biggest moments, jewelry is now being redefined by women who see deeper significance in every piece. A diamond, for instance, is no longer only about romance. It can also stand for resilience.

This philosophy came to life one afternoon at a celebration hosted by Davao City’s homegrown jewelry brand Theia Gems.

Guided by founder and CEO Kristine Joy Agcopra, the event was both a celebration and a learning experience. Guests were given a closer look at the intricacies of diamonds, from GIA-certified diamonds to lab-grown diamonds, shedding light on what makes them chemically, physically, and optically identical.

Theia Gems is one of Philippines’ pioneers to the most affordable and high-quality diamonds. In her opening speech, Agcopra emphasized that the brand remains focused on making these 100% conflict-free pieces both affordable and attainable, letting more Filipinos experience the joy of everyday luxury.

“Our vision has evolved,” Agcopra shared.“Theia Gems is no longer just a brand for proposals and weddings. Our jewelry is here to celebrate your promotions, your quiet wins, your healing seasons, your independence, and your becoming.”

At the heart of this evolution is the concept of “modern heirlooms,” pieces that accompany women through the many chapters of their lives. A diamond ring might commemorate a long-awaited promotion, while a pair of earrings could celebrate another personal milestone.

Jewelry, after all, is often more than adornment. It is memory cast in stone.

What began as a jewelry concierge service has grown into what it now positions as the country’s accessible diamond brand that celebrates the many milestones that shape a woman’s journey.

Asked whether jewelry can be a source of empowerment—especially in the spirit of Women’s Month—Agcopra says that the right piece can quietly transform how a woman carries herself.

“For me, jewelry is more than a material. I always believe that when I’m wearing the right jewelry, I can be confident,” she told Manila Standard.
