Genteelhome strengthens its community commitment through long-term CSR programs designed to support various sectors in need.
Genteelhome, a local furniture atelier renowned for its sustainable and bespoke creations, is deepening its commitment to community-building through long-term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs inspired by its “Made for You, Made with Love” philosophy.
Each year, the brand focuses on a different community in need, transforming its craftsmanship into meaningful initiatives that offer comfort and support where they are needed most.

In partnership with the I Want to Share Foundation (IWTS), a non-profit dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients, Genteelhome recently launched Crafted with Kindness: Cancer Care, a program through which the brand will design and craft purpose-built furniture made from reclaimed materials for the Bone Marrow Transplant wing of the Philippine General Hospital. Each piece will be thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of young cancer warriors and their caregivers.

As part of this initiative, Genteelhome is creating loose furniture that brings both warmth and functionality to the space, including lounge chairs, side tables, and movable desks with wheels, pieces designed to make the environment more supportive, restful, and comforting for everyone who uses it

“Genteelhome is not just about the furniture—it’s about the memories created, the process of building each piece, and the lives intertwined with our craft,” said Katrina De Leon, Founder of Genteelhome. She emphasized that every item the atelier makes carries a story, and through this partnership with IWTS, they hope to extend that sense of meaning to others. “We’re bringing warmth and comfort to cancer patients. We want to create pieces that make them feel cared for. These furniture pieces are crafted not only with kindness, but with our hands and hearts, inspired by who they are and what they give. We hope this small movement can make more movements to the community.”

“Genteelhome is known for handcrafted, bespoke furniture that blends modern design with intention. Every piece they created for the Bone Marrow Transplant wing was made with care and designed to adapt beautifully to its users,” said Sheila Romero, Founder and Chairman of IWTS. “Genteelhome brought warmth, character, and dignity to the patients. The Bone Marrow Transplant wing is where patients face the toughest battles of their lives, and thoughtful design matters immensely.” She expressed her gratitude for the partnership, noting that this collaboration marks a significant and meaningful step forward for the community. This partnership establishes the Philippines’ first charity funded Bone Marrow Transplant wing, a legacy project of IWTS.
Genteelhome’s Ongoing Community Commitment
Genteelhome has long championed support for local communities. Last year, the brand partnered with local artisans and pledged a percentage of their revenue to support the Haribon Foundation’s reforestation efforts.
The brand also actively nurtures local talent, preserving traditional Filipino furniture craftsmanship while providing livelihood opportunities for artisans. Through these efforts, Genteelhome ensures that its artistry not only enhances homes but also uplifts communities and preserves cultural heritage for future generations.
During the Gratitude Lunch, Genteelhome also unveiled their newest collection, Genteelhome Edit, a curated line of objects and interior decorations. The collection is inspired by the way people enjoy lighting candles, displaying jewelry, and keeping small essentials within easy reach. Each piece is designed to help homes showcase objects that reflect personal style while balancing both aesthetic and functional needs.
