Rufa Mae Quinto has a new viral video online, and it’s from Fresca Tuna’s digital film called “Gold.”
In a tongue-in-cheek mockumentary, Rufa Mae plays the character of Luffa May, a woman with a faux sickness called ‘Di Sulit Hypersensitivity (DSHS), which makes her itchy when she sees or touches anything that’s not sulit (worth the price).
In the film, Luffa May is seen scratching her body when she came in contact with an expensive piece of clothing. She also narrated that she couldn’t pass through their dining area because a family member installed a chandelier. When her partner took her out on a date, she refused to order a meal because of DSHS. She instead brought out a can of tuna, which according to her, doesn’t make her itch because it’s sulit.
The film has garnered over 17 million views barely a week after it was posted on Facebook. One user commented, “Nice ad! Funny and relevant. Dapat sa sulit lang talaga lagi, kasi ang mahal na ng mga bilihin! (With skyrocketing prices of consumer goods, smart spending should be the trend.)”
